Summer Fun at Salem Cat Museum

Summer is here and so are many fun happenings at Salem Cat Museum! The museum continues to be open weekly Thursday-Monday 11am-6pm. This week the museum will also have a pop-up booth at the North Shore Pride festival on Salem Common 6/27 from 12pm-5pm. 50% of the profits from museum operations and the pop-up booth will be donated NAGLY for that day!

There is less than one month left to see the art display at Salem Cat Museum that will be up until 7/27. There will be a closing reception 7/24 from 6pm-8pm that the public is welcome to attend. Participating artists who loaned work and are nearby are welcome to pick up their pieces at the reception or afterwards. The museum display will be changed over completely after 7/27. Non-local participating artists will be contacted soon with art return details.

A new art exhibition will be in place at Salem Cat Museum on 7/30. There will be an opening reception celebration on Friday 7/31 from 6pm-8pm. Everyone is welcome at the reception. July & August Pop-Up Events at the museum

Captain Gingerbeard by Diana Teeter, currently on display at Salem Cat Museum

July 18th: Artist Diana Teeter will be visiting from New York City to debut their brand new series of cat paintings and merchandise. Salem Cat Museum has several pieces by Diana in the permanent collection— they are all fan favorites! We can’t to see all the new things they have created!

July 25th: Black Cat Rescue, a local nonprofit cat rescue will be visiting Salem Cat Museum. Stop by to learn more about their mission— there will be some adoptable cats visiting too!

August 8th: Salem Cat Aid, a local cat rescuer will be visiting. Learn about their mission and meet some adoptable kittens! You can also learn more about the new rescue cat shelter coming to Salem sponsored by Salem Cat Aid & PALS!

August 22nd: Author Christopher Minor will be popping up with his cat book, “Lily’s Grooves” — a purrfect story for all ages.
